Kickstarter Update!

attewell copy

Hey folks! So, as you might have guessed, we didn’t get quite to the original goal of $15,000, but we got pretty damn close at $9,729. And given that we got that close, it would be a shame to have the project fail and no one get the rewards they wanted.

So I’ve started up a second Kickstarter with a more modest goal of $9,500 that will run for two weeks to make sure that people have enough time to redo their donations. If people who have already supported the Kickstarter can just re-donate what they were going to donate before, the project will be successfully funded, everyone gets the rewards they originally ordered, and everyone gets the bonus essays that got unlocked.

I want to be very, very clear: NO ONE WILL BE DOUBLE-CHARGED.

Obviously, if we only raise 2/3 the original goal, I can’t hit my original target of starting A Storm of Swords in 2015. However, every bonus essay that did unlock during the first Kickstarter will get written, although with less paid time to write them in, it’s going to be a little bit slower than I had originally hoped for. My overriding priority here is to make sure that everyone gets the rewards they wanted and that these books get published. Please help me do that.

Yours Sincerely,

Steven Attewell

I’ll re-up tonight. Sorry to hear that the final goal wasn’t reached.

Pledged last night. Good to see you’re over a third of the way already.

Too bad we couldn’t get there on the first Kivkstarter but even the money from this one should help. If we don’t do Storm of Swords this year then at least you’ll have started before Season 6 or Book 6 whichever comes first.

  3. 24 hours in and we’re already at 70% to goal! Something tells me we’re going to be successfully funded.
