Hey folks, I realized that it’s been a while since I’ve updated the blog, so I thought I’d shoot a quick note about how things have been going on:
- Dany IV is up to 6,000 words. Almost finished with the three fires/mounts/treasons, which is really the summit of this particular mountain so the rest should be easier going (although I have to say I think the results are worth it). Planning to put this one up on Monday.
- Aziz from History of Westeros Podcast, SomethingLikeaLawyer from Wars and Politics of ASOIAF, and I just finished recording our Redgrass Field episode, where we cover the First Blackfyre Rebellion from outbreak to its bloody end on the road to King’s Landing. I think folks are really going to like this one, especially if you’re into military history.
- I’m still at 800 words into my review of Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, but once Dany IV is done, I’ll get that one knocked out, don’t worry.
- The Tumblr Roundup will go up Saturday afternoon, and there should be some good stuff as I’ve been busy answering asks all week.
As for the Kickstarter, we’re currently sitting at just under $6,000 or just about 40% of our goal with 12 days to go. I’m planning a fresh round of publicity, and we expect donations to pick up towards the end of the Kickstarter’s run, based on other crowdfunding ventures. However, if you have any friends who you haven’t yet told about the Kickstarter, or if you’ve been on the fence about contributing, or would be interested in increasing your support, now would be a great time to get us closer to striking distance of getting to our goal!
EDIT: Oh, and Race for the Iron Throne just hit 2.5 million views.
